Re comment #5:
I have suggested to remove the config file for KDM to order to have the same
setup at me and by any one how is trying to reconstruct the bug -- And, because
KDM works consistently bad with as well as without the file.
Of course, I have not changed "/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc"!
In fact, the "xinitrc" file is absolutely and completely of no interest to the
problem reported here.
This file is not used at all, when KDM is displaying its login.
The "xinitrc" file only being used *after* the user has logged on to the system
(as is the case for the problem reported in bug 819066).
The only similarity between the two reported problems is that you cannot use
the keyboard in the pop-up windows in either case.
Re comment #6:
I am not sure what you are saying -- Does the supplied file work or not?
Anyway, I have tried to make use of the supplied "kdmrc" file -- Same error as
reported!
And same error as without a "kdmrc" file and thus exclusively using KDM default
settings.
No matter what, you are *not* able to use the keyboard to enter or activate
anything in the pop-up window asking for authorization!
