Unsetting SSH_ASKPASS helps to let git just ask me for username(password) as it should. It's broken in several ways: 1. Why SSH_ASKPASS is set per default? 2. Why a well known command line tool "git" opens arbitrary gui apps like kwallet at all? It even steals the focus from terminal. 3. Why it tries to get https passwords via SSH_ASKPASS (ssh!) variable? 4. It even started kwallet from kde4 although I'm on KDE3.
