Running a small test program under GDB throws the following Python import
exception, it seems coupled to a minor incompatibility between the version of
GDB and glib-devel.

(gdb) run
Starting program: /home/chorler/projects/src/hal-flash/src/test
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/share/gdb/auto-load/usr/lib64/",
line 9, in <module>
from gobject import register
File "/usr/share/glib-2.0/gdb/", line 3, in <module>
import gdb.backtrace
ImportError: No module named backtrace

Upstream has a patch that cleanly applies and seems self contained:

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Compile attached gdbus-test.c and execute under gdb
$ gcc -o test -g $(pkg-config --cflags --libs gio-2.0) gdbus-test.c
$ gdb ./test
(gdb) run
<error in bug report>
(and another error... I'm investigating that!)

Expected Results:
no Python import error
