My binary search result: echo "auto" > /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:00:19.0/power/control This device is my (unused) on-board ethernet controller: 00:19.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82579LM Gigabit Network Connection (rev 04) Them, the T430s did shutdown correctly the last four times. Without laptop-mode-tools.
Can anyone confirm this?
@Troels: Maybe it was just a coincidence. And it is even worse if your laptop shuts down automatically because your battery is low and then reboots instead. :)
As I said, it was the case for both my friend and I, she has a T430, I have an X230.
