https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=852660 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=852660#c0 Summary: Custom DSDT not being loaded Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 13.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 13.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: apcullen@yahoo.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:25.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/25.0 First, let me say that this bug has been reported for previous versions here: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=533555 and here: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=600481 The previous ones were resolved as not fixable. Any chance of getting it working for 13.1? If it's not going to work, and it's never going to work, I suggest the option be removed from the YAST /etc/sysconfig Editor. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Add path to custom DSDT in Yast /etc/sysconfig Editor 2.Reboot 3.Dmesg output shows kernel is not looking for DSDT file. Actual Results: No indication that a custom table is loaded. Expected Results: Loaded custom DSDT and bypass original. All my power functions (sleep, hibernate, shut down) worked fine in version 12.1, but since then sleep and hibernate have been broken. I was hopeful that I could fix this by patching my DSDT. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
