User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:25.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/25.0 - Information about the crash: - What I was doing when the application crashed: Create an empty bar in plasma. It is not important if an empty bar or a group bar. Unlock widjets, select: join widget. Choose playwolf-plasmoid from KDE-Extra repository. Double click. - Unusual behavior I noticed: The very moment you double click, the plasma-desktop goes into complete blackscreen-crash. It is able to recover. - Custom settings of the application: None, the app as it comes from the repo. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.create empty bar 2.join plasmoid playwolf 3.plasma is gone blackscreen will recover. Alternative: 1) set playwolf on desktop, will work normally 2) try to use settings: freezes 3) the whole plasma desktop should now be completely unresponsive and cannot recover. You get out of the freeze by logging out of that user and logging in again Actual Results: Joining a playwolf plasmoid to an empty bar, crashes plasma (recovers). Joining it to the plasma desktop trying to use settings freezes the plasma desktop. Recovery impossible, you need to logout. Expected Results: Well, should integrate in the bar, should play, should work without creating havoc to the system. Important supplementary note: when you open playwolf as plasmoid on the desktop, this will work. It installs nicely, plays as expected. But if you double click on settings, it will take a long long time to open. Once open, trying to give O.K. to close the dialog will not result in any action. Plasmoid remains frozen. If you try to kill with ctrl-alt-esc the killing results in a crash of the entire plasma desktop. Here it is important to note that you cannot recover from it. You have to get out of the desktop with ctrl-alt-del and select "end session". You then can log in again normally. I did not choose recover plasma-session ever. So it will always be an empty session in my case. You may try if the session is functional if you attempt to recover (I prefer for practical reason not to provoke this test case. Hope you can accept this). This bug is present in 13.1 standard. It was present with 12.3 standard (KDE 4.10.5 as well) but there the plasmoid works normally when used on the desktop. This bug was originally filed to KDE as 328136 and was marked as downstream. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
