https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=852548 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=852548#c0 Summary: Creating a new desktop bar (all but predefined one) pops up an empty settings dialogue Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 13.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 13.1 Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: stakanov@freenet.de QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=569294) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=569294) screenshot User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:25.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/25.0 right click on desktop and choose: add new bar. You will encounter: the popup-dialogue is empty. When choosing settings after the bar is installed, settings are instead available. Is consistent to 100 %. Tried out with several different settings (themes, colours, ecc). This is a new user from scratch, not migrated from a previous install. Joining a "default bar" installs the bar without any dialogue". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.right click on desktop 2.choose: add bar (empty, fancy or grouped doesn't matter) 3.empty menu pops up. Actual Results: empty settings menue pops up Expected Results: User should be presented with a coherent settings menue to be able to choose where the bar should go, how it should be set up. (BTW, with firefox default settings you have a bug in this webpage, The window under "What should the software have done instead" is missiong. So: the software should have presented a working dialogue not to confuse unexperienced new users. As you do not know where the bar is going to manifest, it may superpose to existing ones creating clutter. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
