Dominique, I'm not asking for every plugin to go to its own sub-package. I'm
also not asking for the aa plugin to be alone in its sub-package, it could be a
bundle if needed.
What I want to avoid is extra dependencies, in particular for plugins which
most users don't want. Several packages (multimedia players and others) already
have a plugins-extra sub-package for these, we could do exactly that for gimp
if there are more candidates than the aa plugin.
BTW, my main concern about this plugin is not the space on disk, which I agree
is negligible. My problem is that gpm is a service, even with a configuration
icon in yast. When I install a system for non-expert users (e.g. my parents),
this is the kind of complexity I really don't want to be visible. But I
certainly don't want to remove gimp to hide it.
