Summary: using add-on product repository causes installation to
fail
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE 13.1
Version: Final
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: openSUSE 13.1
Status: NEW
Severity: Major
Priority: P5 - None
Component: AutoYaST
AssignedTo: fehr@xxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: kleinrob@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
QAContact: qa-bugs@xxxxxxx
Found By: ---
Blocker: ---

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/24.0

When I use an autoyast control file with a add-on product defined the
installation fails:

At least the following sections of the autoyast control file are not
processed, or at least not available in the installed system:
- firewall
- nis
- printer
- sysconfig
- users
- network (network card is shut down after installation, is not configured)

The software is done, also software from the add-on repository (here:
non-oss) is installed.

At a guess (all?) configuration _after_ installing the software doesn't use
settings in the autoyast control file.

An example add-on section is:

<add-on>
<add_on_products config:type="list">
<listentry>

<media_url><![CDATA[ftp://example.com/repos/13.1/GM/non-oss]]></media_url>
<product>openSUSE 13.1 NonOSS Add on</product>
<product_dir>/</product_dir>
</listentry>
</add_on_products>
</add-on>

The installation succeeds, when I use no add-on section, or simply:
<add-on>
<add_on_products config:type="list" />
</add-on

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Use an autoyast control file that has a add-on repository defined
2. Start autoyast installation
3. Wait until installation completes
Actual Results:
Most of the system configuration isn't done, e.g. neither NIS nor the root user
(that is, his password) are Ok, so you can't log in; Other settings like
firewall, printer, sysconfig variables aren't done, too.

Expected Results:
Correctly configured system.
