Summary: util-linux update breaks "su"'s pam access
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE Factory
Version: 13.1 Milestone 2
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Basesystem
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: burnus@xxxxxx
QAContact: qa-bugs@xxxxxxx

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:21.0) Gecko/20100101

On two Factory systems I had the problem that before the very recent update, I
had in /etc/pam.d:

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 18 May 1 23:42 su -> /etc/pam.d/su.core
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 20 May 1 23:42 su-l -> /etc/pam.d/su-l.core

Since a yesterday's update, the "su.core" and "su-l.core" are gone and RPM

su-l.rpmnew and su.rpmnew (owned by util-linux-2.23.1-2.1.x86_64)

Expected: su/su-l symlinks + su.core/su-l.core get replaced by su/su-l.

The mess is seemingly caused by:

* Wed Jun 12 2013 mail@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
- util-linux.spec: remove previously added "moving-su-trickery" again
as a su-less coreutils packet is in Base:Build and Factory now.

Reproducible: Always
