It is now working.
To be clear:
secure boot is enabled.
opensuse uses "/dev/sdb1" as its EFI partition.
Windows uses "/dev/sda1" as its EFI partition.
I can successfully boot either opensuse 12.3 or Windows 8 from the grub menu
entries.
I presume that when this is eventually pushed out as an update or in 13.1,
people won't have to monkey with enrolling keys.
