I spend the last few days in trying to figure out the best way to submit KDE
4.10.1 as a maintenance update, but the only thing what constantly comes up is
that I have to set up again a new repository where I then have to start
updating packages. Despite that all packages are already in different repo's,
etc, the maintenance workflow can not be used based on those packages as that
it then requires package by package.
I am sorry, but I guess that we will remain with the old procedures, where the
user has to manually add the KDE:Release:410 repository to get updates for the
KDE release within openSUSE 12.3. Any other solution might offer just a slight
advantage for the end-user, but creates a huge overload on the KDE team.
Unless OSC maintenancerequest is updated in such a way that it can utilize the
parameters source project target project release (e.g. osc mr -m "update to
4.10.1" KDE:Release:410 openSUSE_12.3 ), this will just remain a dream
