I changed the line and it didn't resolve the issue.

I'll attach the output of journalctl -b.

There is an init.d script for device-mapper (/etc/init.d/boot.device-mapper),
but I'm not able to start it, as there is a symbolic link in
/usr/lib/systemd/system from device-mapper.service to /dev/null, so the service
is masked iirc.

I don't know exactly what is responsible for setting up the device-mapper und
multipath stuff. There is no correspondig magic for the stuff in
boot.device-mapper in any systemd service file.
