Regarding automated print queue setup tools see "Automated Printer Configuration" at http://en.opensuse.org/YaST_Printer I guess the "HP-Laserjet-1220, foomatic lj5gray" queue was created by the udev-configure-printer RPM package. You may inspect /var/losg/messages regarding "udev-configure-printer" messages to find out whether or not the "HP-Laserjet-1220, foomatic lj5gray" queue was actually created by the udev-configure-printer. If you do not want the udev-configure-printer magic, delete that package. I guess the "hplaserjet1220 postscript" queue was created by the YaST printer module when the openSUSE system was installed. You may inspect the /var/losg/YaST/y2log* files to find out whether or not the "hplaserjet1220 postscript" queue queue was actually created by the YaST printer module. I do not understand how two queues become set up in your case because automated print queue setup tools should autodetect when there exists already a queue for one same device. Perhaps in your case both print queues have different CUPS device URIs - something like usb://HP/LaserJet%201220 for HP-Laserjet-1220 and hp:/usb/HP_Laserjet_1220?serial=00CNK053755 for hplaserjet1220 which might explain why you got two queues set up automatically for one same printer device. "lpstst -v" would report the CUPS device URIs but you have already deleted the HP-Laserjet-1220 queue. I cannot reproduce your "two different automated print queues" issue. On my openSUSE 12.3 system I get only one queue set up automatically for my HP LaserJet 1020 USB printer. Regarding the duplicate listing of the scanner device "HP_Laserjet_1220" see bnc#803934 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 803934 *** http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=803934 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
