Summary: Default keyboard layout for dutch users now US
International instead of US English
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE 12.3
Version: Final
Platform: All
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Installation

On openSUSE 12.3 GM the default keyboard layout after choosing Dutch as the
language is US International. Wrong, we shouldn't have a windows feature, we
should have the "linux" way, i.e. use a compose key to create composed
characters. After selection compose key doesn't work anymore.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install, select Dutch as the language, US International is auto-selected
2.Fix: Yast - System - System keyboard layout to US English
3.All back to normal
Actual Results:
No compose key, wrong keyboard layout for a linux user.

Expected Results:
US English as the default for dutch users. They can set the US International
layout in their desktop if they want windows behaviour.

I know some people have been putting pressure to change this, one in peticular.
We've tried to stop this when discussing it on a dutch launch party. Many of us
there agreed it should never be US International. Linux is not windows.
