https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=807544 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=807544#c0 Summary: Mount of repositories/files with URL nfs:// fails due to no mount.nfs binary in initrd Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.3 Version: RC 2 Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: SUSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: andreas.tomiak@helmholtz-berlin.de QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.8; rv:21.0) Gecko/20130304 Firefox/21.0 During network installation with pxelinux of openSUSE 12.3 RC2 with the line label 123 kernel linux123_64 append initrd=initrd123_64 splash=silent showopts install=nfs://134.30.104.45/srv/nfs/linux/suse123 autoyast=nfs://134.30.104.45/srv/nfs/linux/conf/suse123/desktop-64-fett.xml in the default loader file the system does not mount the nfs directories. If I try it manually from the system it will ask for a binary /sbin/mount.nfs, which is not contained in the provided initrd. This prevents the installation with NFS reposistories and/or AutoYaST files. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Netboot (PXE) with the configuation line install=nfs://134.30.104.45/srv/nfs/linux/suse123 autoyast=nfs://134.30.104.45/srv/nfs/linux/conf/suse123/desktop-64-fett.xml (kernel and initrd from 12.3 RC2 Build 0094 x86_64) (any address and file name will do, no NFS mount works, even from command line) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
