When I install 12.3RC1 from USB stick on a completely new hardware (1 internal
disk), the installation itself runs ok, but when the system then reboots, the
first entry in the boot menu (which is again from the USB stick) is "boot from
harddisk", but selecting this (or wait and do nothing auto selects it) does not
boot the just finished installation from the internal disk. Instead it shows
again the bootscreen from the USB stick image. An endless loop. I can only
solve this by removing the USB stick and use the reset switch. The next boot
then correctly boots from the internal disk and the installation continues
(first setup things).
The problem here is that I have to plug in the USB stick again after the
machine booted because the "first setup" things need the repository on the
stick to finish.

The problem is not related to a specific hardware. I tried on 3 different
