Whose borders? There are dozens of current territorial disputes besides the
one Jigish mentioned, many of them quite aggressively prosecuted by the parties
involved. No matter which political map you pick, someone is bound to take
offence to it. The problem can be mitigated by using a geographical map
without political boundaries.
Yes, city naming can also be potentially problematic, but apparently not nearly
so much as the imaginary lines on a map. I can't think of any disputed ones
from the tz database.
