https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=758961 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=758961#c8 --- Comment #8 from Jan Uhlir <espinosa_cz@centrum.cz> 2012-05-01 22:48:28 UTC --- I have downgraded kernel once more to original 3.1.0-1.2.1 (kernel-desktop-3.1.0-1.2.1.i586) I remember this kernel as without power down issue from the time I installed openSuse 12.1. Situation improved however I again encounter the failed power down, just even less frequently. Short test sessions lead always to a successful power down (or restart, hibernate, suspend) However proper full day work leads usually ends in failed power down :( Also the second monitor is a red herring, even session without using second monitor failed. There is something triggering this behavior and that 'something' must b ebrought in by some recently installed SW. I will upgrade back to latest kernel and downgrade KDE back to 4.7. I have various (minor) issues with 4.8 anyway. Interestingly the power down issue started to appear after KDE update (though more upgrades were made too, like Gnome) So, please look at it too. I ti very annoying and dangerous bug. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
