https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=757680 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=757680#c0 Summary: pleaes update syslog-ng to 3.3.5 in openSUSE 12.1 Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: openSUSE 12.1 Status: NEEDINFO Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: pczanik@genesi-usa.com QAContact: qa-bugs@suse.de InfoProvider: maintenance@opensuse.org Found By: --- Blocker: --- syslog-ng 3.3.1, which is included in openSUSE 12.1, works fine on a desktop, but has some memory leaks affecting busy central servers. I already directed a couple of users to my home:czanik:syslog-ng33 repo. Most changes in the 3.3 line are bugfixes, with some minor feature changes in patterndb, which is not used in the default config, and affects only a small minority of users (if at all). For a complete changelog see http://www.balabit.com/files/syslog-ng/open-source-edition/3.3.5/changelog-e... Instead of directing affected users one by one to my repo, I'd prefer to update syslog-ng to 3.3.5 in 12.1 3.3.5 is already in Base:System As it can't be seen from my bugzilla e-mail address: I'm from syslog-ng upstream. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
