dont know exactly about this bug, but I today fetched the x64/x86-64 .iso image
of 12.2 milestone2 from the software.opensuse.org (developer) section via aria2
commandline.
written that iso image to a usb stick pendrive, and tried to boot from it on a
phenom2-x6, on asus m5a97pro mainboard, 8 giga ram.
during normal installation theopensuse logo came up with a tiny bit of a
progress bar, then going to some green graphics screen and eternally hanging
there.
only thing there was numlock led was still working, and ctrl+alt+del rebooted
the machine. tried this several times.
then i went for vesa setting and installation again in the grub menu, then some
textlines came up with kernel booting, then loading intial system from usb,
activating usb devices, network card, then all of a sudden fallback into those
ancient historic days of suse install screen, textmode only with blue
background and red error dialogbox, all textmode, telling me that no opensuse
repository could be found.
is this the same bug? guess milestone2 with x64 is messed up. does not work
here at all.
regards.
