Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot into Failsafe -- openSUSE 12.1 - 3.1.9-1.4. Actual Results: 1. showopts apm=off noresume edd=off powersaved=off nohz=off highres=off processor.max_cstate=1 x11failsafe The system enters run level 5. After displaying the log-in prompt in console, the screen goes blank black and the keyboard is dead. There is no visible activity. Expected Results: 1. I would say, fail-safe boot should enter run level 2.
