Summary: Gnome Lock Screen Fails on Reopening Laptop
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE 12.1
Version: Final
Platform: i686
OS/Version: openSUSE 12.1
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: GNOME

Fresh install (opensuse 12.1) on a Lenovo T61.

When the Gnome lock screen came on due to closing the laptop or simply timing
out, the unlock screen would freeze up after entering the password. The lock up
could be fixed by closing the screen after putting in the password and then
opening it up again quickly.

The problem stopped after disabling the fingerprint reader.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. T61 with opensuse 12.1
2. Gnome installed and fingerprint reader enabled
3. Lock out screen and attempt to log in
Actual Results:
The unlock screen information disappeared, with the exception of a gray box,
and hung until the laptop was closed again.

Expected Results:
Should not have to close the screen and open it after logging in.

Disk drive encryption enabled
Fingerprint reader enabled
Docky Enabled
