https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=749416 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=749416#c0 Summary: udisks constantly asks for root password when loop device mounted Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: nobange@poczta.onet.pl QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686) AppleWebKit/535.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/18.0.992.0 Safari/535.15 SUSE/18.0.992.0 Opensuse 12.1 with KDE4, there's ISO image of the installation DVD given in Yast > Repositories as repo (prod machine, offline). The system asks constantly for root password to mount the loop device, particurarly when installing packages from the ISO. Besides, every say 15 minutes there's a prompt for root password (possibly from some update checker), doesn't matter if I type in the password or just hit Cancel button, nothing happens (and it shouldn't). Previously there was Opensuse 11.0 on this computer with the same (Yast+ISO_DVD) setup and nothing like this have happened. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add iso image of Opensuse 12.1 DVD as repository in Yast 2. Disable all other repos (not sure if it's necessary, but set it this way) 3. Disconnect from the net 4. Try to install some package from the iso image 5. or do nothing and wait until root password prompt appears Actual Results: Prompt for root password appears Expected Results: There should be no prompt for password, since the iso is mounted already by Yast with root priviledges. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
