https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=742153 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=742153#c0 Summary: Lightdm doesn't work with fingerprint reader Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Minor Priority: P5 - None Component: Xfce AssignedTo: bnc-team-xfce@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mgonnelly@suse.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Lightdm doesn't seem to work well with a fingerprint readers. It will illuminate the light on the reader but login won't happen unless the password is also entered. Also, the light on the reader stays lit indicating that it is waiting for input after login has succeeded (with password). FWIW, this is the hwinfo but I don't think this is hardware related - gdm and console logins work fine. 45: USB 00.0: 11600 Fingerprint Reader [Created at usb.122] Unique ID: dwDZ.Du+dIW738rA Parent ID: ADDn.4Nx_qoDfSd7 SysFS ID: /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1a.0/usb1/1-1/1-1.3/1-1.3:1.0 SysFS BusID: 1-1.3:1.0 Model: "UPEK Biometric Coprocessor" Hotplug: USB Vendor: usb 0x147e "UPEK" Device: usb 0x2016 "Biometric Coprocessor" Revision: "0.02" Speed: 12 Mbps Module Alias: "usb:v147Ep2016d0002dc00dsc00dp00icFFisc00ip00" Config Status: cfg=no, avail=yes, need=no, active=unknown Attached to: #41 (Hub) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
