I have a Radeon HD 5450 and MythTV was showing choppy video, so I took a chance and installed the fglrx (catalyst) driver. http://en.opensuse.org/Fglrx
I am using a 64 bit machine, so I did the following with opensuse 12.1: zypper ar -f http://geeko.ioda.net/mirror/ati/openSUSE_12.1/ fglrx zypper in fglrx64_xpic_SUSE121
Do you have to install the fglrx package on a fresh installed openSUSE 12.1 or from an upgraded openSUSE 12.1? Which desktop are you using? Do you install MythTV from Packman repository?
None of these directories exist. Does the file need to be updated?
The readme file /usr/share/doc/packages/fglrx/README.SuSE is outdated and needs to be rewritten.
Is it maintained by OpenSuSE?
The packaging script (generating a RPM package) and all of files for openSUSE in AMD Catalyst are maintained by me. ;-)
If it isn't, who do I report this to?
If any openSUSE releated issues with AMD Catalyst, you can submit a bugreport here. Please add me as CC in the bugreport. If necessary I will also consult directly AMD. If any AMD Catalyst/fglrx related issues (graphic errors) you should better submit the bugreport to http://ati.cchtml.com/
If it is, can you update it and tell me what the directories should be?
Please type this in the console as root and post the output here: # ldconfig -p | grep X11R6 # cat /etc/ld.so.conf.d/fglrx.conf Thanks, Sebastian -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
