In GM it works better:
Clean install using 12.1 DVD on x220 laptop,
Partitioning:
ext4 on / and /home, no swap, format both partitions
SW Selection:
KDE
Users: imported users from previous install
Network does not work at the end of the install (tried both eth/wlan).
Error message @ Saving Network Configuration:
ERROR: No Network running - screenshot: attachment 1 [details]
After install and Reboot:
NetworkManager (NM) is present and can connect to wired network (eth0)
-- NM cannot connect to hidden WLAN - no matter what setup I do
-- I am not sure if NM can be used to connect to visible WLAN - I do not
have access to one. I assume that it can as I can see plenty of access points.
I'm closing this report as it is not relevant anymore - GM resolved most of the
issues.
