Hello Will,
there hasn't been a window (i guess it is called dr.konqui) that offered to
fetch or create a backtrace and i don't know how to create one myself.
But when using 'yast2 -> Software Repositories' today. I found out that somehow
a new (and strange) repository has been added, called
'dir:///var/tmp/Temp.Dir/DOFnu0'
which carries the same name as the PK_TMP_DIR in the attached error message.
After deleting this repo, apper is working as expected and installing single
packages when clicking on an rpm.
I don't know how this repo found its way in there but it was definitely not me
who added it.
Maybe some of you guys could check out if something like this has happened on
your machines. As I said above, this did not happen on my 64-bit
test-installation (apper was and is working fine there), but that does not mean
that it couldn't.
