Summary: ktimetracker packages in KDE 4.7.2 broken
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE 11.4
Version: Final
Platform: x86
OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4
Status: NEW
Severity: Major
Priority: P5 - None
Component: KDE4 Applications
AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@xxxxxxx
ReportedBy: kilgus@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
QAContact: qa@xxxxxxx
Found By: ---
Blocker: ---

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686) KHTML/4.7.2 (like Gecko)
Konqueror/4.7 SUSE

For both openSUSE 11.3 and 11.4 the packages of ktimetracker from are broken.

/usr/share/kde4/apps/ktimetracker/ktimetrackerui.rc is a symlink to
./kontact/ktimetrackerui.rc - but kontact seems not to be defined as
requirement (at least it will not be installed automatically by zypper). I
preferred anyway that the ktimetracker package contained its UI instead of
relying on kontact (which I do not intend to use) for that.

But even after installing kontact, every try to start ktimetracker ends with
an infobox "Die Komponente für den KDE-Zeitplaner kann nicht erstellt werden"
(might translate to "Could not create the KTimeTracker part.") followed by an
empty window.

Messages in terminal:

Object::connect: No such slot TimetrackerWidget::updateTabs()
Object::connect: No such slot ktimetrackerpart::keyBindings()
Object::connect: (sender name: 'options_configure_keybinding')
X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3
Major opcode: 20 (X_GetProperty)
Resource id: 0xba00026
