https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=720746 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=720746#c0 Summary: KMix Tries To Use All Available CPU Time For One Core Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: PC OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Workspace AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: malv_star@hotmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=453363) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=453363) Kmix's behaviour as shown in the process tree in KDE's system monitor User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:6.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/6.0.2 After a certain period of usage, KMix memory and CPU usage grows to the point where it is trying to use 100% of available time for one processor on a system. I am uncertain of how long it takes to reach this point, but it *does* happen eventually. This seems to slow system performance quite substantially. Attachments are included in this bug report which will provide a better illustration of the problem. The images were generated on a dual-core system (an Intel Core2Duo E6550 to be precise). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run an installed KDE system, using it normally. 2. Check your CPU usage using the KDE system monitor 3. You will notice that KMix is using significantly more processor time than it should be, even if no sound is playing. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
