Ok, I will try the specific details for Lexmark X940emyself. It is a "powerful
network printer scanner copier all-in-one device according to the link you
attached: http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Configuring_Scanners#Scanning_via_Network
And it has scan to email that work so it is not quite critical either.
But in generic terms, does YaST2 scanner suppoert this setup. That is, is it
possible to configure such a scanner which has its own network card and
ip-address in the YaST2 scanner setup (in a corresponding way as it already is
configured as a network printer for CUPS with the YaST2 printer setup tool)?
What I need is the guide/tip to do continue this setup with YasT2, as I didn't
find out how to continue the network scanner setup with YaST, after ther first
screen where it has recognized the lexscan driver.
Where is i.e the database located for the yast2 scanner models, so that is
possible to verify or add a new scanner model? And where in the setup procedure
does we add the ip address for a networked scanner?
