Regression - with current Factory, my PS/2 keyboard is not being recognised
on
start-up. Later on, if then I unplug/plug, it is seen and then works fine.

PS/2 is not made for hotplug, and in theory hotplugging could even damage your
hardware - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS/2_connector#Hotplugging

Yeah, that is part of why this is a _serious_ issue.
