Tested with lyxx 2.0.1 on openSUSE 11.4. The behavior of lyx is correct. The
layouts themselves are available, but the classes that are needed by these
layouts are not (always). The error messages and the lyx customization manual
provide instructions how to install these tex classes.
So this is not really a valid bug. At most it is a request for enhancement to
include certain tex classes in the distribution.
