but in tty2 of the installation kernel, using dmesg, I can only get the tail
the kernel log, not the beginning of it. I would like to save it to a USB key
for inspection reporting and comparison with the kernel log of the installed

If I'm not mistaken, the log is stored to /var/log/<something> and kernel
buffer cleared after that. So with dmesg you then see only the tail.

This is a question for installation maintainers.
