Yes for the greeter there is in kdebase4-opensuse/greeter/greeter.cpp

 if (url=="http://software.opensuse.org/";)
      url="http://software.opensuse.org/search?baseproject=openSUSE%3A11.3";;

So another place where the version is hardcoded.
