The file has been processed well by rpmbuild without any errors reported. The filename cited by rpmlint lacks the extension. If to change the filename to remove the extension the build works well. See relevant build log: https://build.opensuse.org/package/live_build_log?arch=i586&package=hal&project=home%3AAnsus%3Abranches%3AKDE%3AKDE3&repository=openSUSE_11.4 In this example, a file named hal-policy.conf is included in the package. The %files section is processed well and the packages are created. Then rpmlint says it cannot find a file named "hal-policy" (note the extension is dropped). Is to rename the file to "hal-policy" the build finishes well.
