As noted in parent bug, too much work is involved to resize columns to make
summary wide enough to be useful, and stay that way. Conversely, the version
isn't likely anything most people care anything about during installation.
Also, many package names are ridiculously long for this context, making initial
Package column width excessively wide. During installation, and probably also
after, summary is far more important than version, and thus needs a reasonable
minimum width, quite more than 12-13 characters now.

Those using narrow screens have probably come to expect appearance of
horizontal scrolls as a matter of course. Thus, implementing reasonable wider
minimums that force horizontal scroll in narrow windows hardly seems
