Supporting IM record below: 11:40:43 AM) Peter Pouliot: i see nothing provides "kernel_module_package_buildreqs" (11:40:49 AM) Peter Pouliot: as an error (11:41:58 AM) Ann Davis: ah... that is because the package that provides this macro is sometimes not installed on the backend build system. I ran into this w/ redhat and I had to file a bug against OBS for it. The package on redhat is redhat-rpm-config; I'm not sure what it is called on CentOS. (11:42:19 AM) Peter Pouliot: it should be the same (11:42:26 AM) Ann Davis: do you have a centos system installed? (11:42:31 AM) Peter Pouliot: yes (11:42:47 AM) Ann Davis: pls. take a look in /usr/lib/rpm/ . Is there a redhat directory? (11:42:48 AM) Peter Pouliot: same package (11:43:05 AM) Peter Pouliot: yes (11:43:07 AM) Peter Pouliot: there is that dir (11:43:23 AM) Ann Davis: ok. pls grep for kernel_module_package_buildreqs in all the files in that dir (11:46:36 AM) Peter Pouliot: looking (11:46:40 AM) Peter Pouliot: it's probably in the same file (11:46:40 AM) Ann Davis: should be in the file /usr/lib/rpm/redhat/macros (11:47:16 AM) Peter Pouliot: found it (11:47:25 AM) Peter Pouliot: %kernel_module_package_buildreqs %global kmodtool_generate_buildreqs 1 \ kernel-devel (11:48:15 AM) Ann Davis: yep. that file is installed by the redhat-rpm-config package. I suggest filing an OBS bug saying that this package needs to be installed on the Centos build system. You might want to mention that we ran into the same issue when using OBS to build kernel module packages on RedHat (11:48:34 AM) Ann Davis: let me see if I can find my original bug... (11:52:04 AM) Ann Davis: this isn't the actual bug but I suggest looking at it as well: 599901 (11:53:33 AM) Ann Davis: I guess I didn't enter a bug for it; it was probably just an email exchange I had w/ Adrian or Michael. Another quick idea is to just email obs@suse.de; it's an internal list for OBS (11:54:06 AM) Ann Davis: but a bug would be better -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
