Please try alsa-driver-kmp from OBS multimedia:audio:KMP repo. Choose the correct repository depending on the kernel you are using. See below for details: http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Alsa-update
Hello, i have compiled and installed an updated alsa driver pack i downloaded from the realtek site here: http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=14&PFid=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false Please note i dont think this is a "propietary" driver, it is just an updated alsa driver pack (i think it is equivalent to installing alsa-driver-kmp). I am attaching the read me file on that tar for you to see. This solved the problem. 6channel audio works in alsa, however i had to disable pulseaudio, because when it was enabled, the volume controls did not work, and i had no sound from the subwoofer channel. After i disabled pulseaudio, the system worked perfectly. Even if i no longer have the problem, i will be happy to assist in any way i can to solve this issue in opensuse. Should i still try to install the alsa-driver-kmp as you instructed? and if so, after i do, what else should i do? do you need aditional information? Please let me know what more i can do to help. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
