https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=698533 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=698533#c0 Summary: System doesn´t resume after s2ram Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mathemat@gmx.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/4.6; Linux) KHTML/4.6.0 (like Gecko) SUSE Resume from s2ram shows: | Freezing user space processes... (elapsed 0.015 seconds) done. | Freezing remaining freezable tasks... done. | Disabling non-boot CPUs... | Broke affinity for irq 17 | Enabling non-boot CPUs... | CPU1 is up | sdhci-pci 0000:08:01.0: Will use DMA mode even though HW doesn´t fully claim to support it. And that´s all. After a while, the "Uhrhund" kicks in, stating: | Watchdog detected hard LOCKUP on cpu 1 I did a lot of web research on this topic, but found nothing applicable for Celadon. Furthermore, I sadly have no idea how to provide more info on this, as the box is completely frozen after "resume"... nothing helpful in /v/l/messages either. Hints, anyone? (FYI: s2disc works as expected). (Especally annoying is, that the standard KDE setup automatically goes s2ram after beeing some minutes on idle, what relieably freezes the box... showstopper!) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. In KDE, select "Rechner ausschalten/Ruhezustand" 2. Turn the box on again 3. Watch the mess, afterwards hard-reset and reboot.
