https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=695297 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=695297#c0 Summary: duplicate file names exist Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 12.1 Version: Factory Platform: i686 OS/Version: SuSE Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: casualprogrammer@opensuse.org QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1 In /etc/zypp/repos.d I find two files with identical names and creation date, the only difference seems to be the size. ls -l | grep 11.4 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 117 Apr 22 08:20 openSUSE-11.4 11.4-1.36.repo -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 177 Apr 22 08:20 openSUSE-11.4-11.4-1.36.repo -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 198 Apr 22 08:20 openSUSE-11.4-Source-Non-Oss.repo -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 163 Apr 22 08:20 openSUSE-Videolan-11.4.repo cat says they don't exist cat openSUSE-11.4 11.4-1.36.repo cat: openSUSE-11.4: No such file or directory cat: 11.4-1.36.repo: No such file or directory while gedit from a terminal opens two files, both empty. Only nautilus seems to be able to make something of them, right click open with gedit produces for the 177 bytes file [openSUSE-11.4-11.4-1.36] name=openSUSE-11.4-11.4-1.36 enabled=0 autorefresh=0 baseurl=cd:///?devices=/dev/disk/by-id/ata-_NEC_DVD_RW_ND-6750A_ path=/ type=yast2 keeppackages=0 and for the 117 bytes one [openSUSE-11.4 11.4-1.36] name=openSUSE-11.4 enabled=0 autorefresh=0 baseurl=dvd:/// path=/ type=NONE keeppackages=0 so there are in fact two meaningful files with the same name in the same directory, which should _not_ be possible afaik.
