https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=693640 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=693640#c0 Summary: Proxy settings are not enterd accordingly into the system configuration Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Factory Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: dieter.jurzitza@t-online.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1 I installed 11.4 from a recent netiso. At the boot screen I entered the PROXY settings and started installation - everything seemed to run smoothly during the night, nobody observed the machine working after I started the installation. The next day there were no proxy settings in /etc/sysconfig/proxy, though the machine definitively had had them configured - otherwise installation would not have worked. So I entered them by hand. However, kde too did not take notice of /etc/sysconfig/proxy, I had to respecify the proxy in the "Systemeinstellung" dialogue in order to make things work. This is a x86_64 - machine. Thank you for looking into, take care Dieter Jurzitza Reproducible: Always Actual Results: Proxy settings have not been included into /etc/sysconfig/proxy Expected Results: Should have been entered into there I cannot test by restarting the installation. I need this machine running :-) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
