https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=691090 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=691090#c0 Summary: Upgrade MySQL workbench to the latest version Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Final Platform: 64bit OS/Version: openSUSE 11.4 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: scott07@worldsofwar.co.uk QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0 The version of MySQL workbench in the repo is 5.2.31, this has a number of bugs that make it essentially unusable. For example when you connect to a server to edit table data, you get a dialogue box asking you for the database and the table. By default, it will select the information_schema, if you change the database then it will popup an alert stating that the table does not exist (because the first table it picked from the information_schema does not exist in the new database you selected). As soon as you click on to this message it checks for the existence of the table again, as you have not yet been able to change anything it fails again with the same message....... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the MySQL workbench and connect to a database 2. Select the edit table function 3. Change the database from the information_schema Actual Results: Infinite loop of alert messages Expected Results: Change of database with the option to select the desired table -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
