Jiri Slaby
I'm using Cyclade multiport cards long years ago. The type is Cyclom-Y/PCI. Now I had to update the Linux operating system and get an error. The driver does not detect the 16 ports it write into the log
Cyclom-Y/PCI #1 found: 8 channels starting from port 0.
It should find 16 ports.
There working driver is "$Revision: 2.3.2.20 $$Date: 2004/02/25 18:14:16 $"; and I use it with kernel 2.6.8.24 in a SuSE 9.2 distribution (232Bit)
The not working one is: #define CY_VERSION "2.6" with Linux dev-suse113-64 2.6.34-12-desktop #1 SMP PREEMPT 2010-06-29 02:39:08 +0200 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
The code for channel count detection didn't change much since 2.6.8. There are some changes though. Could you install a kernel from: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/jirislaby:/cyclades/openSUSE... and attach full dmesg from that booted? Secondly it might be a 32-bit/64-bit problem. Could you test a 32-bit kernel (e.g. from a live distro)? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
