I tried to use "splash=off" manually in GRUB. That worked once, but not a for a second time, nor anytime later. It's the same with many other parameters: I tried "noapic, nomodeset, apic=off, ..). (By the way: I alreday tried waiting an hour before a new restart) I did a reinstallation and tried it again. The first startup worked, the second one did not. I tried "splash=off" again, it worked, but I remember to read "fb: conflicting fb hw usage ...". After a restart I get again: doing fast boot Creating device nodes with udev and some time later: http://img837.imageshack.us/i/p1050411ug.jpg/ Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Starting SUSE with "splash=off" as parameter in Grub. It works. 2. Shutdown the computer. 3. Repeat step 1: it does not work. Actual Results: I get this messages: http://img837.imageshack.us/i/p1050411ug.jpg/ It seems to be a solution to boot with parameter "nosmp" seems to work so far. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
