https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=668130 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=668130#c0 Summary: Intel WIFI 6000 firmware is buggy and out-dated Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.4 Version: Factory Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Kernel AssignedTo: kernel-maintainers@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: thardeck@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: Component Test Blocker: --- On some Intel Wifi cards the connection drops regularly and only a removal and reloading of the iwlagn module helps to establish it again. This is fixed with the current Intel firmware image for this card but openSUSE 11.4 Milestone 6 still uses the old one. http://intellinuxwireless.org/iwlwifi/downloads/iwlwifi-6000-ucode-9.221.4.1... This is also an issue in openSUSE 11.3. The firmware should be compatible so a firmware update would also fix the problem there. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
