A check of this system found no rpm -qa for Python 3 only 2.7 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.click on a icon or in a command window 2. In a command window - type "blender" 3. with only Pythom 2.7 and openSuSE blender binary fails Actual Results: it print out on the screen an error mentioning Illegal ***** and dies. I downloaded a from Blender's site a binary install and replaced openSuSE's blender binary only with the one that esd in the rpm from the NET and it worked.
