It's definitely better. The particular crash situation mentioned in the title of this report is solved but I still observe kernel crashes seemingly related to GLX, so I still have to disable desktop effects in order to prevent several crashes a day.
Ok. So the original issue has been resolved. The remaining issue would be required to be tracked in a seperate bugreport.
With the newest 11.3 kernel and recent Xorg packages from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/X11:/XOrg/openSUSE_11.3 my X seems to be quite stable. I could even turn on compiz. It's OK that you marked it reolved, but in fact it's only resolved for the users using that special Xorg repository.
