1. Dynamic X configuration is no longer HAL-based with xorg-server 1.8. It has
been replaced with an udev/xorg.conf.d-snippet-based approach.

1. Better reduce the evdev options you're using to the still existing ones.
Identifier "Mouse[0]"
Driver "evdev"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/event2"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "true"
Option "ButtonMapping" "1 8 3 4 5 6 7 2"
EndSection

2. Dynamic X configuration is no longer HAL-based with xorg-server 1.8. It has
been replaced with an udev/xorg.conf.d snippet based approach.

Proposal: Create /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-evdev-kmouse.conf with content:

Section "InputClass"
Identifier "Kensington Expert Mouse"
MatchIsPointer "on"
MatchProduct "Kensington Expert Mouse"
MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*"
Driver "evdev"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "true"
Option "ButtonMapping" "1 8 3 4 5 6 7 2"
EndSection
