http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=619175 http://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=619175#c0 Summary: New PAM packages overwrites configuration Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE 11.3 Version: Factory Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 11.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Update Problems AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: anniyka@googlemail.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; de; rv:1.9.2.4) Gecko/20100611 SUSE/3.6.4-3.2 Firefox/3.6.4 Since some time I use pam_ssh with a working configuration. A new pam package always overwrites my configuration. The new packages should not overwrite such configuration becuas it may be specific to ones network configuration. RPM-newconfigs should be generated. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Just update PAM, "ls -lrt" will show you that files are overwritten, eg: -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 528 30. Jun 23:54 common-account-pc -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 598 30. Jun 23:54 common-session-pc -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 527 30. Jun 23:54 common-password-pc -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 633 30. Jun 23:54 common-auth-pc Actual Results: Own configurations do not work anymore. More, own configurations will be destroid as ther are no RPM-saveconfigs are generated. Expected Results: New RPM configurations will be made as "newconfigs" or at least old configurations will be saved. I will fill up a new bug report as I am using pam_ssh. In my case as pam_ssh seems to be part of the configuration now so it would not matter, if the configuration would work. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
